From the age of 15 on, Gia dressed and lived as a female. Currently, she resides in Malibu, California. She is 5 feet, seven inches tall and weighs 124 pounds. She wears a size 36DD brassiere, has a 26-inch waist, and has 34-inch hips. She describes her "dream job" being "a television hostess for some fun travel or music video show or a wild on location reporter." At age three, Gia moved with her mother to the Valencia, California.

She describes her early years as idyllic, but says that she first encountered problems because of her feminine ways during her junior high school days.

At 15, Gia used hormones she obtained from friends to begin her transformation, acquiring breast implants three years later. For her, the implants were enough, she says, to "validate" her womnahood, and she has opted not to undergo sex-reassignment surgery. However, she admits to having had 31 cosmetic surgeries to further feminize her facial structure.

Gia married, but her marriage did not last, and she divorced, living on her own in a small apartment where, for meals, she would sometimes eat two or three bowls of dry, packaged noodle soups while working for a telephone answering service.

She owns and operates Gia Darling Entertainment. A self-described "homebody," she is content to spend quiet evenings at home reading a good book in the company of her dog, Precious.
