"I liked it," Alexis said after a moment.

"Liked what?"

They played the game for a little bit in silence, but neither of them were really into it. They both let their thoughts dwell on what just happened and on their relationship in general.

They heard the doorbell ring downstairs, and the loud chatter of John's mother as she greeted whoever was at the door. Five minutes later, John and Alexis heard footsteps up the stairs. They looked at the doorway and saw Scott and Nancy enter.
